Straight answers.
What area do you cover?
San Jose to Carmel Valley, based in Capitola. Santa Cruz County is home ground; for the right job the whole Bay Area is in range.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — California Contractors License #892974, Class A General Engineering, active and bonded, with workers' compensation coverage. You can verify it on the CSLB website.
Do you do small residential jobs, or only commercial?
Both, and we mean it. The project list runs from hospitals and Costco lots to a 200-square-foot side yard. No job too big, none too small.
How do I get an estimate?
Call 831-818-1800, email estimates@santanapaving.com, or use the form on the contact page. Straight bids — we look at the job, price the job, and stand by the number.
Is the work warrantied?
In writing: two years on asphalt workmanship — twice the one year most paving contracts carry — one year on concrete, and the manufacturer's warranty on seal coating products. Details on the warranty page.
Do you do public and prevailing-wage work?
Yes. We're registered with the California DIR for public works and run prevailing-wage jobs for cities, counties, schools, and public agencies — see the project list.
How fast can you start?
Depends on the season and the schedule, but we're known for answering the phone and showing up — one of our customers got a bid the same day he called and a finished job the next.
What goes into a driveway or parking lot price?
Access, grading and base condition, drainage, thickness, and square footage. A cheap bid usually thins one of the first four — that's why it's cheap.
Do you handle drainage and grading too?
Yes — that's the Grading in the name. Water is what kills pavement, so we build the ground under it as carefully as the surface.
Who will be on my job?
Santana Noble runs the company and makes it a point to be present at every job, big or small, with a crew that's done this for years.
